Wine tasting is always a popular activity, whether you’re entertaining clients to cement a relationship or networking to make new contacts - most of us enjoy wine and appreciate the chance to learn something new in a social setting. With ThirtyFifty the style is informative and fun, pitched at a level that ensures everyone can participate regardless of prior wine knowledge. As well as client entertainment, wine tasting is excellent for team building or bringing a conference to a close – whatever the occasion, we have a range of formats that will meet your brief.
ThirtyFifty wine tastings are available across England, Scotland and Wales. Designed for groups of 10 to 100+ they can be held at your workplace or an off-site venue either before, during or after dinner or with a buffet or canapés.
Entertainment:
Wine Tasting Package with optional wine challenges.
We’ll entertain you with a tasting of 6-8 wines from around the world. Combine with a series of wine challenges and quiz round to add to the fun. Choose from Silver @ £30+vat per person, Gold at £35+vat or Platinum at £40+vat - the different fees reflect the price/quality of the wine. Unless requested the wines you taste will be from ‘Around the World’. Alternative themes are ‘New World’, ‘New Zealand’, ‘Americas’, ‘Spain’, ‘Italy’, ‘England’ or ‘Wine & Port’.
Fine Wine Tasting Package with upgrade option
This tasting will impress VIP clients or senior executives who know their wine. You’ll taste 7-8 top-quality wines including Champagne and if you wish to upgrade any wines we can recommend world-leading producers e.g. Chateau Margaux, Sassicaia, Krug (POA). Choose the Fine Wine Gold package @ £45+vat per person or Fine Wine Platinum @ £50+vat per person.
Network Wine Tasting – Long format
This walkabout wine tasting is ideal for building relationships with clients or as part of a conference, allowing delegates to network. In our long format we taste 2 wines as a group after reception drinks and then invite guests to visit themed tasting stations to taste wine at their leisure and participate in optional wine challenges. Works well for new office openings, conferences and client networking.
Network Wine Tasting – Short format
Our short format is ideal for post-conference networking where we provide reception drinks and present two wines to the group but do not set up tasting stations.
Interactive Wine Tasting Show or Fine Wine Auction
These interactive game shows are co-hosted by ThirtyFifty and a compere/entertainer. Great for evening entertainment, combined with dinner with wine tasting challenges served between the courses. Choose from a menu of quiz rounds and challenges to set the right tone for your event. The Fine Wine Auction involves teams bidding for their favourite wine and fine wines to taste.
Team Building Wine Tasting
This format is ideal for off-site sales meetings or team away days with a combination of wine tasting and creative or practical tasks for teams to complete. Team tasks range from creating a new wine brand and advertising campaign to blending their own wine. The event culminates in presentations, judging and bubbly prize-giving. From £40+vat per person.
Champagne & Fizz
If you are celebrating success with your team or clients treat them to a tasting dedicated to Champagne and sparkling wines. Once you’ve sampled the different styles try your hand at making Champagne cocktails! Team challenges and quiz are optional. Choose from Silver at £30+vat per person, Gold at £35+vat or Platinum at £40+vat.
Beer Tasting with quiz
Our beer expert will guide you through a range of speciality beers including international styles and bottle-conditioned English ales. Combine with a fun pub-style quiz to test your newfound knowledge. We can also run as half beer, half wine tasting. The tasting is £25+vat per person, £30+vat or £35+vat per person. The different fees reflect the quality and quantity of the beer/wine.
Days the whole venue can be booked for exclusive hire, what are the costs and min spends for each day?
Tasting fees start at £30 + vat per person with a minimum of ten guests. Depending on numbers and location there may be additional costs for extra staff or travel expenses.
Terms and conditions
To confirm a booking ThirtyFifty require a non-refundable deposit of £100 or 25% of the total fee including VAT, whichever is greatest, based on the estimated number of guests at the time of booking. This deposit is required within 10 working days of a provisional booking being made. If the number of guests increases or decreases the client shall inform ThirtyFifty of the changes and confirm final numbers no later than 10 working days before the event. At this time (10 working days before the event) the full, outstanding payment will become due. Should the number of guests attending the event increase ThirtyFifty will invoice the client for the additional guests after the event. If the client cancels the tasting ThirtyFifty will charge the following cancellation fee: If the booking is cancelled more than 10 working days before the date of the wine tasting ThirtyFifty will retain the deposit. This deposit can be used against a future tasting if re-booked within 6 months. If the booking is cancelled within 10 working days of the wine tasting, the deposit will be retained and the outstanding balance will be required as a cancellation fee.
