Museum in Docklands traces the 2,000 year history of London’s river, port and people, a storyline stretching from the arrival of the Romans to the rise of Canary Wharf. Located over five floors of a splendid Georgian warehouse, the Museum is Canary Wharf’s only Grade I listed venue. Built in 1802, the warehouse was originally use to store vast quantities of rum, molasses, coffee, pimento and cotton from the West India slave plantations. Today it offers a distinctive backdrop for entertaining, its original pine columns and floors juxtaposed stylishly with contemporary fittings. This unique venue offers exceptional opportunities for corporate entertaining from formal dinners, Champagne receptions and parties, to daytime and evening meetings and conferences. This striking 1802 warehouse offers a range of disctinctive corporate meeting and conferencing spaces. Its ideal location in the heart of Canary Wharf’s business district provides delegates modern facilities within an historic setting. Museum in Docklands provides a thoughtful and interesting backdrop for your event, either in one of our many inspiring galleries of unique function rooms. All of the event spaces within Museum in Docklands are unique in their own way from the cobbled streets of Sailortown to the original wooden floor and pillars that house the curiosities of the Trade Expansion gallery. Each of the galleries looks at a different era of the London’s port history, allowing your guests to explore Roman settlement, the sights and sounds of 1840s Sailortown and the regeneration of the Docklands area. Additional our unique function rooms provide a beautiful neutral background around which to host an event. Adjoining the museum is 1802 bar, lounge & dining, where the best of Modern British food is served for lunch. For smaller conferences we are able to offer lunch in 1802 as opposed to a buffet lunch in the room. Additionally we are able to reserve an area of 1802 for you for post meeting drinks. 1802 is available for guests who are not using the museum as well as our visitors. It can be hired exclusively or a smaller area reserved. Searcy provide catering on behalf of Museum in Docklands, and our priority is to deliver exceptional food and customer service. Searcy operates from some of Britain's most prestigious venues, creating critically acclaimed culinary experiences in stunning surroundings, including 30 St Mary Axe (affectionately known as the Gherkin), the Royal Opera House, the Barbican, National Portrait Gallery, and the Champagne Bar at St Pancras International. Museum in Docklands is a registered charity and a portion of all revenue from events and 1802 is invested back into the Museum to improve services and facilities.

The Museum can be hired exclusively any evening from 6.30pm
1802 bar, lounge & dining can be hired exclusively on Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights depending on availability. Exclusive hire charge - £1,000.00, minimum spend - £8,000 to £10,000 depending on date and time of event.
Late licence: 1am on Friday and Saturday nights
